Now that all the drawings have been completed and uploaded for 2012, I just wanted to go over all the things I've learned and started since January 1, 2012.
Lessons
- Don't take yourself too seriously. Seriously. I wanted so desperately for everything I did to be perfect perfect perfect. You can see the struggle in the first few months. I was desperate to see change. Once things started to click, my arm and my mind finally loosened up. In due time, I'll probably revisit old concepts that I didn't complete the first time around but by then I'll have learned even more.

So I was just going thru a folder on my desktop that contains pretty much every single piece of fan art I've gotten since this whole pony craze began. And I sat back and stopped and realized - holy hell, this is just...amazing. I mean, every time I get something new, I am so flattered at the fact that somebody would want to take their time out to draw something for *me*. It boggles my mind, but I love each and every one of them...regardless of skill level.
I just had a moment where I just felt completely moved with happiness at the thoughtfulness and generosity...and I just wanted to say thank you AGAIN to everyone and anyone who has taken

John de Lancie didn't think much of it when his agent phoned with a cartoon voice-acting gig. De Lancie was to lend his voice to Discord, a villain in Hasbro's reboot of My Little Pony.
